Dehyton, also known as Cocoamido Propyl Betaine, is a mild amphoteric surfactant derived from coconut oil. It is widely used as a secondary surfactant to boost foam, enhance skin feel, and reduce the irritation potential of primary cleansers. Naturally derived and highly versatile, Dehyton is ideal for creating gentle, effective cleansing products that are suitable for all skin and hair types.

This surfactant plays a key role in sulfate-free formulations. It’s especially valued for its ability to thicken surfactant systems, improve foaming in hard water, and provide a soft after-feel. Additionally, it helps stabilize emulsions and works as an anti-static agent in haircare.
