How to Use Beeswax Beads
Beeswax beads are best melted using a double boiler or in short microwave bursts. Because they melt at approximately 62–64°C, always use gentle, indirect heat to avoid burning.
-
For Skincare: Combine with oils and butters, then add any heat-sensitive ingredients once cooled slightly. Typical use level: 1–10%.
-
For Candles: Mix with other waxes like soy or coconut for a smoother burn. Add fragrance oils at the correct temperature for best scent throw.
-
For Wraps or Polishes: Melt, mix with resin or oils, and apply evenly with a brush or cloth.
Once melted, the beeswax blends smoothly into most oil-based recipes, helping bind and stabilize emulsions, and improving texture and longevity.
